Manny Pacquiao Starts His High Altitude Training in Baguio City





The Filipino champ Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao begins his high altitude training in Baguio City, Philippines in connection with the match preparation against “Sugar” Shane Mosley. This is the beginning of his 7 weeks training in the Philippines before he go to Los Angeles before the final phase on April 19. Despite the fact that they are behind a week than what is suggested by his long time trainer, Freddie Roach, his camp still believes that this is already sufficient to make him ready for the welterweight championship on May 7.

In an interview, Manny Pacquiao stated that they are not taking Mosley lightly for the latter is known for his speed and strength too. Meanwhile, Shane Mosley is in Big Bear Lake, California for his own high altitude training. He believes that he can deliver a greatest upset ever against the pound for pound king. In an interview with BoxingScene.com, he said that he will be definitely focus on this fight despite the issues his facing on the final phase of his divorce. He also added that Pacquiao fans will be very disappointed that Mayweather vs. Pacquiao will not happen for he believes that he can have the Mayweather vs. Mosley II.
“I know people want to see the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight. But from the looks of it, I don’t think we’re going to see that. If it’s going to be me and Mayweather again, this time it’s going to be a little different,” Mosley added.
